Just played this Model M, impressed with the sound! A very Big Sounding M! Great bass, all the ranges sound great. This is one of those pianos that invites you to keep playing from the first time you touch it. If you play a lot, you know what I’m talking about. A very lyrical piano with great range. Can thunder or whisper. It has been rebuilt with new strings and pins. Hammers are original Steinway, soundboard is really tight grained spruce. I personally owned a 1924 Steinway back in college days, had it rebuilt, played it many years and sold it prior to going on the road and playing professionally for 20 years.
